Additionally, elligible ESL students receive supportive small class instruction from the ESL teacher.
In ESL, students follow an integrated curriculum program in which they develop their reading, writing, listening and
speaking skills in English.
Parents/guardians are informed of the services and are invited to have their children participate in the ESL program.
When the child has met the exit criteria set fourth by the RI Department of Education and has realized success in his/her
English language acquisition, then the child exits the ESL program and returns to his/her neighborhood school.
